Pediatric Vaccination Schedule
Vaccination is a crucial way for parents to protect their babies, children, and teenagers from serious illnesses. Different diseases can affect kids in different ways, and not being vaccinated can expose their immune system. Failure to develop immunity could worsen symptoms, potentially leading to hospitalization.
Some vaccines may require more than one dose so ensure your child receives all the required doses for full effectiveness.
Pediatric Vaccines by Age
The CDC has a thorough breakdown of vaccines based on age. Some common pediatric vaccines your child will need include:
- Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)
- Hepatitis B (Hep B)
- Rotavirus (RV1 (2-dose series); RV5 (3-dose series))
- Diphtheria, tetanus, & acellular pertussis (DTaP: <7 yrs)
- Haemophilus influenzae type b (hib)
- Pneumococcal conjugate (PCV15, PCV20)
- Inactivated poliovirus (IPV: <18 yrs)
- Measles, mumps, rubella (MMR)
See the CDC's recommendations for your infant or adolescent's vaccine schedule.
